RPI Set to Return to Action
TROY — The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hockey team
concludes its non-conference slate when they travel to
Alabama-Huntsville for a pair of contests tonight at 8:05 p.m. and
Friday at 4:05 p.m. to take on the Chargers, a Division I
independent at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville.
“Were excited to play them because we know they’re a
good team, a great program and it’s a fun hockey community
down there,” RPI head coach Seth Appert said. The Engineers
(9-4-3 overall, 3-3-0 ECAC) are 3-0-1 all time against UAH.
As an independent, the Chargers play a majority of its games on
the road (22 of 34). UAH owns a 2-16-2 overall record this season
under first-year head coach Chris Luongo.
