Bailen Makes Positive Impact on RPI's Blue Line (with Video)

TROY — When Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hockey
coach Seth Appert heard rumors 1½ years ago that Bowling
Green defenseman Nick Bailen was thinking about transferring, he
was excited.
“I would have loved to have had the opportunity to recruit
him originally,” Appert said. “He’s a competitor,
he works extremely hard all over the ice and he has very good
offensive skills. He’s very good at moving the puck from the
blue line. That’s a very good combination in a
defenseman.”
Appert recalls clearly how the sophomore defenseman wound up in Troy.
