Team Notes: Key Games Close Engineers' Regular Season

The Engineers travel to Colgate and Cornell to close out the regular season. RPI plays in Hamilton on Friday night and Ithaca on Saturday. Both games begin at 7 p.m.

THE STANDINGS: RPI and Colgate are tied for fourth place in the ECAC Hockey standings with identical 10-8-2 records and 22 points ... St. Lawrence is just one point back ... The fourth place finisher receives a bye through the first round of the playoffs ... Cornell is currently in second place, tied with Union with 28 points apiece ... Yale leads the conference with 30 points.

THE SCENARIOS: Rensselaer, Colgate and St. Lawrence have clinched home ice in the first round ... RPI and Colgate both control their own destiny for the final bye as wins in both weekend games clinches it for either team ... Yale needs just two points in remaining games to clinch #1 seed.
