RPI Looks to Reverse Fortunes against Atlantic Hockey Rivals

TROY — When Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute downed a game but talent-thinned Bentley team last weekend, it was just the Engineers’ fourth victory in their past five games against teams from Atlantic Hockey.

With all due respect to the Falcons, RPI faces two tougher tasks this weekend against two more Atlantic Hockey entries, Rochester Institute of Technology and Niagara University.

The RIT Tigers (0-2-1 this season) reached the NCAA Tournament Frozen Four last season. Niagara (0-0-2) posted just 12 victories (12-20-4) last season but among them was a 4-1 pounding of RPI at Niagara Falls, one of RPI’s poorer games of the season.
