TROY — Jerry D’Amigo wanted to beat his old
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute teammates on Sunday, even though
the contest between the Engineers and his United States Junior
National team was an exhibition affair.
“Yeah, came here to win; I always play to win.”
D’Amigo failed on both his attempts in the tie-breaking
Shootout, hitting the post on the final play when the USA National
team needed him to score to keep them alive.
