Lord Retains 'C' in Wheeling
WHEELING, WV -- Wheeling Nailers head coach Stan Drulia has announced the team's leadership group for the 2010-2011 season Tuesday. Forward Andrew Lord, a former Rensselaer standout, has been named the team's Captain.
"We have a lot of guys on this team with leadership qualities, that's why this was such a big decision for us," said Drulia. "This team and this community run with Andrew Lord, he is going to do a great job for us as captain."
This is Lord's third season in Wheeling. He has tallied 85 points (35g, 50a) the past two seasons, and currently has 10 points in 13 games played this season. Lord has scored three game winning goals this year; most recently with an overtime goal against Elmira on November 7. Lord served as the team's captain last season.
