Pirri Could Land Top-Six Spot with Canada Juniors

Kevin Prendergast was contacted by the Chicago Blackhawks a couple of months ago and told to keep an eye on one of their prospects, forward Brandon Pirri.

The message to Prendergast, the head scout for Hockey Canada, from the defending Stanley Cup champion was that Pirri would be made available to the Canada’s junior team selection camp.

Pirri had to earn the right to be invited. He did that, showing in 23 games with the Hawks’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, that a boy could play among men.
