TROY — Mike Bergin is healthy. He’s more
confident.
And Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hockey fans are seeing what
the kind of player Bergin is, what delighted head coach Seth Appert
and his assistants when Bergin committed to RPI three years ago and
what compelled the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars to
select him in the seventh round of the 2008 amateur draft.
He’s a two-way defenseman who is solid in the defensive
zone, can skate the puck up ice, can run a power play and has a
strong shot.
