Higgs Adapts Well to College Game

The Record
TROY — Brock Higgs has had a more eventful freshman season
than the vast majority of college hockey players.
Of course, not all the “events” have been pleasant for
the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute rookie centerman.
Six weeks ago, the Kingston, Ont. native suffered a severe
laceration of the neck when teammate Chase Polacek’s skate
grazed across his neck while Polacek was being upended by
Alabama-Huntsville’s Keenan Desmet.
