Lord Inks Deal with Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Rochester Americans Vice President of Hockey Operations Ted Nolan announced today that the Amerks have signed former Rensselaer forward Andrew Lord to a 25-game professional tryout.

Lord, a 25-year-old native of West Vancouver, British Columbia, joins the Amerks after scoring 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points in 70 games this season with the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers. Lord, a second-year pro, posted his best season in 2008-09, capturing career highs in all offensive categories in goals (18), assists (31) and points (49), in addition to appearing in seven playoff games for the Nailers. Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound forward played four seasons (2004-08) of collegiate hockey at R.P.I, collecting 45 points (19+26) in 134 career games for the Engineers.
