Engineers Honor 85 National Championship Team

TROY — It was difficult on Friday, as Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute honored its 1985 NCAA championship team, who
was more special to whom — the national championship players
to the 250 fans who attended a get together with those players, or
fans to the players.
"What a reception," said Ken Hammond, a right winger on the NCAA
title team. "It's touching."
When a question was asked, "how many of you were in Detroit (for
the 1985 NCAA finals, over one-fourth of Friday's crowd raised
their arms.
