Cavosie Returns to Capital District, Joins River Rats
ALBANY, NY — The Albany River Rats announced today that
former Rensselaer forward Marc Cavosie has been signed to a
Professional Tryout Contract (PTO). Cavosie will be in the lineup
tonight when the River Rats host the Adirondack Phantoms at 7:00
p.m.
Cavosie, 28, has 12 points (4-8-12) this season with the Reading
Royals of the East Coast Hockey League and two points (0-2-2) with
the American Hockey League’s Lake Erie Monsters. The Albany,
New York, native and former Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
standout started last season with the River Rats on a PTO and
tallied four assists in 11 games, before signing with the
Binghamton Senators and totaling 23 points (10-13-23) in 64 games.
Minnesota’s fourth round pick (99th overall) in the 2000 NHL
Entry draft begins his third stint with Albany in his eighth
