TROY — Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute head coach
Seth Appert reiterated on Monday that if the Engineers get tougher,
they’ll be successful.
“We played hard last year,” he told reporters on
RPI’s Media Day. “I don’t think we were hard to
play against. There’s a difference.”
The Engineers vastly improved their offensive production last
season, led by league’s leading scorer Chase Polacek and
highly touted freshmen Brandon Pirri and Jerry D’Amigo.
However, they’re improvement in the W-L-T and league
standings weren’t so dramatic.
