Engineers Face Preseason Test
The following article appeared in the October 5 issue of the Troy Record.
TROY — If you’re going to play an exhibition game,
play someone who’ll be a strong test. Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute will do so tonight against the University of New
Brunswick.
The Varsity Reds are arguably the top college team in Canada,
where, of course, college hockey is not nearly as strong as it is
in the USA.
Rensselaer head coach Seth Appert doesn’t like exhibition
games but didn’t want the Engineers opening the season
against tough Colorado College without previous action against an
opposing team.
