TROY -- There was never any doubt this was going to happen at RPI.
The school was going to honor and celebrate the 1985 hockey team,
the one that delivered the second NCAA championship to the RPI
campus.
"It was my idea to bring them back," current RPI coach Seth Appert
said. "It's just natural that we would do this. There was no big
discussion. I talked to (athletic director) Jim Knowlton and it was
like a no-brainer."
Most of the 1985 team will be here this weekend, including coach
Mike Addesa, Daren Puppa, Mark Jooris, Mike Sadeghpour, Mike Dark,
Ken Hammond and George Servinis. The most notable absentee will be
Adam Oates.
