The Record
TROY — It’s been four years since Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute played an ECAC Hockey playoff series at
home.
League newcomer Quinnipiac swept those two games — the final
two that Dan Fridgen coached at RPI.
This year, the much-improved Engineers have a chance to bye into
the playoff quarterfinals for the first time since ECAC Hockey went
to a four-bye format for the 12-team tournament.
