My Name is ... Jerry D'Amigo
The following article featuring Rensselaer forward Jerry D'Amigo appeared February 2 on the National Hockey League (NHL) FanHouse Web site.

Every Tuesday, FanHouse discusses the top NHL prospects found
in college hockey.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is an engineering school in Troy,
N.Y. While it's a school known for academic achievement, they also
field athletic teams there.
The hockey program at RPI fell on hard times in the 1990s. A
program that regularly posted winning seasons and won a national
championship in 1985 hasn't made the NCAAs since 1995. Worse yet,
they haven't had a winning season since 2004, and they've posted
back-to-back 20-loss seasons for the first time ever.
Things are looking up, thanks to head coach Seth Appert and some
highly-regarded young players. One of those youngsters is freshman
Jerry D'Amigo (NHL rights: Toronto). He starred for Team USA on
their gold-medal World Juniors team, and now he is beginning to
come into his own in college hockey.
