D'Amigo Named Top Performer in U.S. Victory
SASKATOON, Sask. -- Rensselaer forward Jerry D’Amigo
scored two goals, added one assist, compiled a plus-3 ratio, and
was selected U.S. Player of the Game in the Americans’ 7-3
victory over Slovakia at the 2010 International Ice Hockey
Federation World Junior Championship. Team USA overcame an early
two-goal deficit in its first game at the opening round of the
championship.
D'Amigo netted his first goal at five minutes, 39 seconds of the
second period to give Team USA a 3-2 lead. He notched his second
goal and completed the night's scoring on a give-and-go play with
Danny Kristo. D'Amigo assisted on Kristo's second-period goal to
account for his three-point evening.
