RPI Returns to Scene of Greatest Fete

The Record
TROY — Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hockey players
hadn’t been born yet, when won the 1985 team won the NCAA
Hockey championship at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena.
When they enter that arena next week, however, the current
Engineers will get lumps in their throats
And they’ll feel honored when they take the ice at the
famous downtown Detroit landmark, the first time an RPI team
returned there since that fabulous weekend nearly 25 years ago.
