Several RPI Players Held in High Regard by Pro Teams

The 2005 and 2006 NHL drafts were lean for Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute; no Engineers were selected. But the tide has turned.
For the third straight year, the Engineers could have some players
picked in this weekend’s NHL draft.
Two members of RPI’s recruiting class, forwards Jerry
D’Amigo and Brandon Pirri, are rated highly in the final NHL
Central Scouting Bureau report. Another forward, sophomore Patrick
Cullen, could also be selected.
