When Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute arrived in Denver for the
Denver Cup over the Christmas break, freshman forward Patrick
Cullen didn’t feel well. He chalked it up to altitude
sickness, and thought he’d adapt to the Mile-High City in a
day.
A significant drop in weight told Cullen is was much more than
altitude sickness.
He ended up having strep throat, and lost more than 20 pounds from
his 6-foot, 190-pound frame.
