TROY — The biggest night on Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute’s hockey schedule — any season — is the
annual Big Red Freakout! Night.
That night is Saturday night but, despite the fact that RPI will
battle the ECAC Hockey league’s hottest team, first-place
Yale University, the Engineers aren’t talking about the 32nd
Annual Freakout!.
Quite possibly, the reason for that is because over the past six
years, the Engineers have a 1-5-0 record the night before the
Freakout!, which annually packs Houston Field House.
