Engineers in Search of Postseason Offense

The Record
TROY — This hockey season has had such a glowing
lack of success for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the Engineers
have to look to their past two losses to gain some confidence for
the upcoming ECAC Hockey playoffs.
The 11th-seed Engineers, winners just seven times in 34 games
(7-25-2) this season, open the preliminary round of the tournament
at 6th-seeded Dartmouth (11-9-2, 14-12-3).
The best-of-three series opens tonight at Dartmouth’s
Thompson Arena. Game 2 is Saturday night and a third game, if
needed, is Sunday. Faceoff time each night is 7.
