Confidence Sparks Brutlag’s Improved Play

TROY — Bryan Brutlag is a much better college hockey player than he was one year ago.

Any Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute fan will say so but more important, the sophomore defenseman knows it in his heart.

“I’ve definitely grown a lot,” Brutlag said. “I’ve definitely gotten a little bit biggers but the biggest thing is adjusting to the college game and getting used to the speed. I think that's the biggest aspect as to why I’ve grown into a better player.”
