Nancy MacDonald doesn't cringe when she sees her son take a hit.
She doesn't hold her breath as he's about to deliver another
check.
Each night that she watches Kirk MacDonald crashing the net,
battling for pucks and just competing on the ice like he always
has, it just reassures Nancy that her son is healthy.
"Obviously you want the team to do well, but I don't even watch
Kirk's games as hockey anymore," Nancy said. "I look at is as, 'OK,
he's physically strong.' "
