ECHL All Stars Feature Eizenman, Farynuk
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Former Rensselaer forward Oren Eizenman
(Fresno) and defenseman Brad Farynuk (Stockton) will represent the
National Conference in the 2008 Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Game,
the ECHL announced today.
Hosted by the Stockton Thunder and the City of Stockton at Stockton
Arena, the all-star game will be played at 7:05 p.m. PT
January 23.
Eizenman, a native of Toronto, has amassed a team-leading 42 points, including 20 goals, in 35 games in his rookie campaign. The total ranks fourth among all first-year players in the ECHL. Eizenman sports a plus-minus figure of +6.
Farynuk, currently playing in Springfield of the American Hockey League (AHL), is the Thunder team captain. In 28 games with the Thunder, the Enderby, British Columbia native has registered three goals and 12 assists for 15 points. He sports a plus-minus figure of +6.
As part of the all-star game festivities, the ECHL will conduct
the All-Star Skills Competition, which features Eizenman and
Farynuk competing in the following categories/events:
In the one-on-one Puck Control Relay sponsored by In Glas Co, the
American Conference will be represented by Yannick Tifu of Dayton
and the National Conference will be represented by Eizenman of
Fresno.
In the U.S. Army Rapid Fire competition, the National Conference
will have, among others, Eizenman and Ryan MacMurchy of Stockton
against Anton Khudobin of Texas.
In the Rbk Hockey Hardest Shot competition, Farynuk will join
several others in representing the National Conference. of
Stockton.
In the Chase Chevrolet Breakaway Relay, Eizenman and Farynuk will
both participate.
