The Record
ALBANY -- Within the course of one day, Matt Murley passed up
another hockey homecoming to become a globetrotter.
After much contemplation over the summer, Murley pondered whether
his best opportunity this season was to play overseas, then decided
against such a move.
After signing with the Carolina Hurricanes last month, however,
and being poised to open the season with the Albany River Rats, the
left winger and Troy native changed his mind again this week - just
on Tuesday night - opting to play in the Russia Elite League.
