Xerox Donates Tickets to Northeast Parent & Child Society

TROY, N.Y. - Xerox Corporation, in conjunction with the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) athletics department, has purchased more than 100 tickets to an upcoming RPI men's hockey game and will donate them to Northeast Parent & Child Society.

More than 90 children will attend the Engineers' ECAC Hockey game against Cornell University on Friday at the Houston Field House.  The game, which will be televised on Time Warner Cable and SportsNet New York (SNY), begins at 7:07pm.  A reception for Xerox's special guests, along with members of the hockey team, will be held following the contest at the Heffner Alumni House.

"Giving back to society is an important part of Xerox's legacy in the Capital District," said Celia Butler McGarry, Xerox National Account Manager.  "Providing children from the Northeast Parent & Child Society the opportunity to experience RPI hockey reinforces our efforts to contribute to the local community."

"What a wonderful opportunity Xerox Corporation and RPI have given our children," says Dr. James F. Johans, President and CEO of Northeast Parent & Child Society. "We love to bring the children to fun community activities. This hockey game will provide them a great evening with their friends and family members while they meet local sports celebrities."

Rensselaer is currently 8-10-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the league.  The game with the Big Red marks the first of 15 ECAC Hockey games to conclude the Engineers' regular season.
