Sheffield Steelers have completed their roster for the 2008-09 season with the capture of defenceman Scott Basiuk from Elite League rivals Manchester Phoenix.
Steelers coach Dave Matsos believes the arrival of the 6ft 2ins
Canadian gives his 2008 play-off winning squad better balance and
the ability to mount a sustained challenge for the league title
next season.
Basiuk, born in Prince Albert, played most of his hockey in the
East Coast Hockey League with Dayton Bombers and Bakersfield before
making the move to the UK with Manchester back in 2005.
