TROY -- Success came early and often to former Minnesota high
school teammates Chase Polacek and Bryan Brutlag. Things have been
a bit tougher for them in their first season at RPI.
The pair never faced anything resembling the 10-game losing streak
the Engineers recently concluded, a school-record drought that was
in large part ended by the play of the team's freshmen last weekend
at St. Lawrence.
Polacek, who had four points in the SLU win and a hand in five RPI goals for the weekend, was named ECAC Hockey League Rookie of the Week.
