Time Warner to Broadcast Five Rensselaer Contests
Schenectady, NY - Time Warner Cable announced today live carriage of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey games for the 2007-2008 season. Working in coordination with RPI, Time Warner Cable will produce and carry five games live from the Houston Field House, beginning with the Engineers' December 16th game against Miami of Ohio.
Games will appear live exclusively on Time Warner Cable's local sports channel, Time Warner Sports, Channel 3 in most areas. Replay times will be scheduled for each game and all games will be archived on Time Warner Sports On Demand (Channel 1003), accessible to all Time Warner Cable Digital Cable customers.
The five-game schedule is:
December 15, 2007--RPI vs. Miami (7pm)
January 11, 2008--RPI vs. Cornell (7pm)
January 19, 2008--RPI vs. Union (7pm)
February 1, 2008--RPI vs. Quinnipiac (7pm)
February 2, 2008--RPI vs. Princeton (Big Red Freakout! at
7pm)
The games will be available to over 400,000 Time Warner Cable customers in and around New York's Capital Region and Western Massachusetts, with potential statewide carriage of some games in other Time Warner areas across the state.

With the announcement of the on-air season schedule also came news of a new broadcast team for RPI Hockey. Former New Jersey Devil and Albany River Rat play-by-play announcer, John Hennessey, will team up with color man and Class of 2007 winger Kevin Broad to call all the action on Time Warner Sports.
"John's experience and Kevin's inside perspective will be the perfect complement to an already professional production package from Time Warner," said Kevin Beattie, Acting Athletic Director and Sports Information Director for RPI.
