River Rats Loan MacDonald to Florida
ALBANY, NY -- The Albany River Rats announced today that former
Rensselaer forward Kirk MacDonald has been returned on loan to the
Florida Everblades of the ECHL.
MacDonald, 23, has appeared in 11 games for the River Rats this
season, scoring two points, including his first goal of the season
on November 30th versus Norfolk. The Victoria, British Columbia
native will be making his second trip this year to the Everblades;
he played two games for Florida just after Thanksgiving, before
returning to Albany on November 25th. MacDonald is expected to join
Florida prior to their next game, which is scheduled for Thursday,
December 6th on the road as the Everblades face off with the
Gwinnett Gladiators for a 7:05 pm start at The Arena at Gwinnett
Center in Georgia.
The River Rats have two games on their schedule for this week,
beginning with a home game on Friday, December 7th at the Times
Union Center; a 7:00 pm face off against the Portland Pirates.
Sunday afternoon Albany will be at the Giant Center in Hershey for
a 5:00 pm face off with the Hershey Bears.
