Upcoming 17-18 Schedule Released by Bobcats

HAMDEN, Connecticut – Quinnipiac men's ice hockey head coach Rand Pecknold has announced the Bobcats' 2017-18 schedule, which features 16 home dates at High Point Solutions Arena and non-conference match-ups against Boston College, Boston University, Vermont, Maine, Northeastern, UMass, UConn and Arizona State.

The Bobcats will enter the 2017-18 season following a 23-win campaign in 2016-17 that gave the Bobcats 132 wins over the last five years – the most of any NCAA Division I program in the nation. In addition, Pecknold guided Quinnipiac to its fifth-straight ECAC Hockey Semifinal before being selected as an assistant coach of the U.S. National Team at this year's IIHF World Championships.

This year's Bobcats will also feature five players that competed in NHL Development Camps in July in junior captain Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida), sophomores Karlis Cukste (Riga, Latvia), Brogan Rafferty (Dundee, Illinois) and Andrew Shortridge(Anchorage, Alaska) and incoming freshman Keith Petruzzelli (Wilbraham, Massachusetts).

Quinnipiac will open the 2017-18 campaign with its first trip to Conte Forum to face Boston College on Oct. 6. Quinnipiac previously defeated Boston College in their first two match-ups all-time, at last year's Three Rivers Classic and also at the 2016 NCAA Frozen Four. The Bobcats return to Hamden for their home opener on Oct. 8 against Boston University and then host Vermont on Oct. 14. October will come to a close with a pair of games at Northeastern on Oct. 20-21.

The following weekend features a home-and-away series against UMass on Nov. 24-25 before closing the month at Princeton on Nov. 28.

December will feature four home dates to cap-off the first half of the season as the Bobcats host Harvard on Dec. 1, Dartmouth on Dec. 2 and then host Maine on Dec. 8-9. Quinnipiac opens the New Year against UConn at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut before a six-game road slate features games at Colgate and Cornell on Jan. 5-6, respectively; at Dartmouth and Harvard on Jan. 12-13, respectively; and finally a road trip to Arizona State on Jan. 19-20.
