Lampe Headed to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that they have agreed to terms with former Quinnipiac forward Eric Lampe for the 2011-12 season. 

Lampe, 25, split his 2010-11 season between the Elmira Jackals and the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch. The 5’11, 170-pound forward played in 38 regular season games with the Jackals, racking up 34 points (17g-17 a) and 12 penalty minutes, and an additional three points (2g-1a) and three penalty minutes in two playoff games. While with the Crunch, he appeared in 24 games and notched four points (2g-2a) and 16 penalty minutes. Lampe also won first place in the CCM Fastest Skater contest at the 2011 ECHL All-Star Skills Competition, skating a lap of in 14.445 seconds.

Lampe played four years (2006-10) at Quinnipiac, where he earned 47 goals, 55 assists and 271 penalty minutes across 150 games. He joined the Florida Everblades for their final 2009-10 regular season game where he scored one assist for his first professional point, and also secured three goals in five games during the 2009-10 playoffs.
