Quinnipiac Future is Bright
Two third-period goals allowed them to take Cornell to overtime
in the decisive Game 3 of the ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series. It
only left the Bobcats further sapped. Cornell got the winner to
advance to this weekend’s championship round in Atlantic
City.
Freshman forward Kellen Jones, who sees plenty of minutes in every
phase, was injured during Saturday’s Quinnipiac win and that
hurt the team’s depth. By Sunday, the forwards had expended
even more energy trying to fill that hole.
