Team Notes: Bobcats Host Clarkson, St. Lawrence
Back To The Bank
The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team returns home following a
five-game road trip to host Clarkson on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.
and St. Lawrence on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 4 p.m. at High Point
Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center.
On The Air
Paul Pacelli will have the call on Friday night against Clarkson
while Bill Schweizer will have the play-by-play on Saturday night.
Both men will be joined by Chris Kotsopoulos providing color

The Last Time The Bobcats Were On The Ice
Quinnipiac tied Harvard, 2-2, at the Bright Hockey Center on
Saturday, Nov. 5. Jeremy Langlois scored his team-leading ninth
goal of the year while Cory Hibbeler added his third.
Offensive Firepower
Quinnipiac saw its streak of consecutive games with four or more
goals end against Harvard on Saturday. The Bobcats' nine-game
streak through Friday's 5-4 loss to Harvard was the fourth longest
in Quinnipiac history.
The Bobcats In The Polls
Quinnipiac men's ice hockey is in the Top 20 in the USCHO.com
Division I poll for the third straight week, as announced on
Monday, Nov. 7. The Bobcats are ranked 19th in the USCHO.com poll,
15th in the INCH Power Rankings and received 24 votes in the USA
Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll.
Rookie Point Streak
Freshman phenom Matthew Peca has registered a point in 10 straight
games, the second longest for a freshman in Quinnipiac history,
trailing only Ben Nelson's 12-game streak in 2005.
All-Time Against Clarkson
Quinnipiac and Clarkson have met 15 times since their first meeting
on Feb. 8, 2000, with the Golden Knights holding a slight edge with
wins in eight of the 15 contests. Quinnipiac won the last meeting
between the two teams, a 3-2 victory in Potsdam, N.Y., following
back-to-back losses in their two previous meetings.
Scouting The Golden Knights
Clarkson is currently 6-2-2 overall and 1-1-0 in ECAC Hockey. Last
weekend, the Golden Knights defeated Rensselaer, 4-1, before losing
to Union, 3-1. Clarkson is currently receiving 53 votes in the
USCHO.com Poll, which would slot them in the No. 21 spot, and three
votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll. Louke Oakley leads
Clarkson in goals (six) and points (12) while Nick Tremblay has
also scored six goals. Sam Labrecque leads the team with seven
assists.
All-Time Against St. Lawrence
In 16 meetings all-time between the two teams, St. Lawrence has won
eight, with three more ending in ties. Quinnipiac's last two wins
came during the 2009-10 season as the Bobcats took the
home-and-away series against the Saints. The Bobcats have not been
victorious since, losing 6-4 in Hamden on Dec. 3, 2010 before
playing to a draw on Jan. 29, 2010 in Canton, N.Y.
Scouting The Saints
St. Lawrence has got off to a slow start at 1-5-0 overall and 1-1-0
in ECAC Hockey play. St. Lawrence lost its first five games,
including a 2-0 loss to Union, before blanking RPI, 2-0, in their
last time out. Kyle Flanagan leads SLU in goals (five)
and points (10) while Greg Carey has passed out a team-best six
assists.
That's Fast, But Not The Fastest
Against Dartmouth, Spencer Heichman and John Dunbar scored a pair
of goals just 26 seconds apart. The two goals were the fastest at
Quinnipiac since Oct. 8, 2009 when Eric Lampe and Brandon Wong
scored a pair of goals 17 seconds apart in a 4-2 win against Ohio
State.
