Henningson's Toughness Appreciated

WHEELING - Dan Henningson is the prototypical quiet, unassuming guy. Nothing about the Wheeling Nailers defenseman jumps out at you until an opposing forward is bearing down against him 1-on-1 in the offensive zone.
When that happens, whether by the use of his body or that of his stick, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta, wins the battle nine out of every 10 times.
''His work goes unnoticed in the statistics and things like that,'' Wheeling coach Stan Drulia said. ''We have a pretty good penalty kill, I think, and he is the big reason.
