Quinnipiac head coach Rand Pecknold’s hope at the beginning of the season was that they would be a better team in January and February than they would be at the beginning of the season. That anticipation came with dealing and working with a roster that included 18 freshmen and sophomores.
The Bobcats’ recent run of play seems to have made Pecknold’s hopes come true. Quinnipiac returned from some time off in December with a pair of wins over top-10 Nebraska-Omaha and picked up a tie on the road at Princeton earlier this week.
Those recent results moved Quinnipiac’s overall record back over .500 to 10-9-2 and the Bobcats are 4-5-2 in ECAC Hockey play.
