The Cyclones were a team in need of a lift in the third period Thursday night and defenseman Reid Cashman was there to provide it during a 3-2 win in Game 4 of the Kelly Cup Finals at US Bank Arena.
Cincinnati was trailing 2-1 and had been limited to only 10 shots on goal through two periods. The Cyclones caught a break with a power play chance early in the final period and Cashman provided the lift with a rocket of a shot past Idaho goalie Rejean Beauchemin for the equalizer 5:44 into the third period.
Cashman took the puck just in front of the blue line and sent a missile into the net.
