Lampe Lands in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, NY – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed former Quinnipiac forward Eric Lampe to an American Hockey League contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lampe, 24, appeared in all 40 games as a senior for Quinnipiac last season, finishing second on the team in scoring with 37 points (13g, 24a) to go along with a team-leading 78 penalty minutes.

In addition, he made his professional debut by appearing in one game with Florida (ECHL) last season and tallied his first professional point, an assist, during the Everblades' final regular season game vs. Charlotte, April 3. He also contributed three goals in five playoff games.

Lampe skated in 150 games over four seasons with Quinnipiac from 2006-10, collecting 102 points (47g, 55a) and 271 penalty minutes. A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Lampe spent three seasons with Chicago (USHL) prior to his collegiate career, appearing in 166 games, notching 73 points (31g, 42a) and 232 penalty minutes.
