Quinnipiac's Opener Can Open Some Eyes

HAMDEN — When Rand Pecknold talks about the difficulty in
bringing nationally acclaimed non-conference hockey programs into
TD Bank Sports Center, what he’s really talking about is one
of the most precious things a young, growing program can come
by:
A national reputation.
So it’s no small achievement that Quinnipiac will host Ohio
State — a program that’s been to the NCAA tournament
seven times since 1997 — for its first two games of the
2010-11 season.
