Seniors have Come a Long Way from the NIP

HAMDEN — In many ways, they represent the last link to an
earlier era; final forebearers to the modest roots of Quinnipiac
hockey.
The Bobcats senior class — forwards Jean-Marc Beaudoin, Mike
Atkinson, Brandon Wong, Greg Holt and Eric Lampe — are the
last group that played home games at the Northford Ice Pavilion.
They helped open a new arena and were part of the only Quinnipiac
team to reach the ECAC championship game.
It’s ingrained as part of their legacy, woven into the fiber
of a program that in under a decade evolved from Division III to a
perennial top 20 contender playing in one of the finest college
hockey facilities in the nation.
