Wong a Finisher
The following article featuring Quinnipiac forward Brandon Wong appeared January 27 on the New England Hockey Journal Web site.
By Nate Crossman
Quinnipiac junior forward Brandon Wong has always been defined by
the goals he scores, not the ones he sets up.
In 2006, the British Columbia native earned MVP honors in the BCHL
after scoring 50 goals in 60 games for the Merritt Centennials,
including five in one game.
He followed that up with one of the most impressive freshman years
in ECAC Hockey history, leading the league with 27 goals. Wong, who
led Division 1 in goals into December that season, earned ECAC
Co-Rookie of the Year honors with Yale’s Sean Backman, and
was named to several national all-freshman teams.
