Marshall Rejoins Lake Erie
CHARLOTTE, NC—Charlotte Checkers general manager and head
coach Derek Wilkinson announced Monday that former Quinnipiac
forward David Marshall has been recalled to the American Hockey
League’s Lake Erie Monsters. Marshall was assigned to
Charlotte on October 23.
Marshall, 24, joined the Checkers for two games after beginning the
season with Lake Erie and scored a goal in Saturday’s 4-2 win
over Florida. In 16 career AHL games, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound
rookie from Buffalo, Minn. has two goals and three assists.
In 2008-09, Marshall joined the Monsters after his college
season and tallied two goals and three assists in nine games.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound rookie from Buffalo, Minn. played four
seasons at Quinnipiac University prior to joining the professional
ranks. He holds the school record for most goals in a career with
73 and longest point streak when he went 18 straight games with at
least one point. The right-winger led the team in goals twice,
including once as a rookie.
