HAMDEN — On paper, last week’s season-opening,
two-game series at Ohio State didn’t look promising for the
Quinnipiac men’s hockey team.
Freshmen outnumbered seniors more than 2-to-1 in the
Bobcats’ lineup. The No. 1 goaltender and top two scorers
from last season graduated. Captain Jean-Marc Beaudoin, the
third-leading scorer, missed the trip to be with his wife for the
birth of their first child.
Quinnipiac was picked 11th in the ECAC preseason media poll while
Ohio State was ranked 17th in the nation in the USCHO/CBS College
Sports preseason poll.
