HAMDEN — Losing overtime games on consecutive days is never
easy. When it happens on the road, with a skater in the penalty box
each time, it can be a little maddening.
The Quinnipiac men’s hockey team, so close to grinding out
at least a point in overtime losses at Cornell and Colgate last
weekend, looks to get back on track with games against St. Lawrence
(tonight, 7 p.m.) and Clarkson (Saturday, 7 p.m.) at the TD
Banknorth Sports Center.
The Bobcats (14-12-2, 7-7-2) took a penalty in overtime at No. 5
Cornell last Friday, which resulted in a power-play goal. A night
later, a penalty with under a minute to play in regulation of a tie
game led to Colgate scoring on the power play in overtime.
