Team Notes: Bobcats Host Saints

The Quinnipiac University men’s ice hockey team hits the ice against St. Lawrence University on Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. at the TD Banknorth Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. The Bobcats have lost three straight and stand in fifth place with league record of 7-7-2, good for 16 points. St. Lawrence is 6-7-3 in league play and trail the Bobcats by a point for a three-way tie with Union and Clarkson for sixth place.

All-Time Against St. Lawrence
Quinnipiac is 3-4-2 all-time against St. Lawrence, including a 5-2 win against the Saints in Canton, N.Y. on Nov. 22. Quinnipiac also carries a 0-1-1 mark at the TD Banknorth Sports Center against St. Lawrence, with their only home win against the Saints coming at the Northford Ice Pavilion on Feb. 4, 2006.

Scouting The Saints
Junior forward Mike McKenzie leads St. Lawrence in goals (12) and points (28), while his 16 assists rank second in the Saints’ lineup. Senior Kevin DeVirgilio leads the team with 17 helpers. In goal, Alex Petizian leads all Saints’ netminders with over 1,233 minutes in net over 23 games played. The junior goalie has posted a 10-8-3 record with a 2.29 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage.
