Cashman Returns to Wheeling
WILKES-BARRE, PA -- The Pittsburgh Penguins have returned former
Quinnipiac defenseman Reid Cashman to Wheeling on loan.
Cashman, 25, has appeared in 18 games with the Penguins this
season, recording six points (2+4) and a plus-1 rating. Both of his
goals were game-winning tallies (Feb. 3 at Philadelphia, Feb. 6 vs.
San Antonio in overtime).
The native of Red Wing, MN, has appeared in 29 career AHL contests
with the Penguins and Toronto Marlies, recording nine points (2+7)
and 22 penalty minutes.
In 21 games with Wheeling this season, Cashman has posted 18
points (5+13) and 29 penalty minutes.
He was signed by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as a free agent on July 24,
2008.
