WILKES-BARRE TWP. – Defenseman Reid Cashman walks into the
coach’s office at the Wachovia Arena on the morning of Feb.
16 and shuts the blue metal door behind him. As he takes a seat on
a padded blue folding chair, he knows what’s coming.
He’s about to be sent to the ECHL. He’s no longer one
step away from his NHL dreams.
It’s a difficult pill to swallow, but here’s the
strange part.
