Team Notes: Quinnipiac Opens Season at Ohio State

The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team will open the 2009-10 regular season with a trip to Columbus, Ohio to take on nationally-ranked No. 17 Ohio State University in a two-game series on Oct. 8-9. Both games are scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. puck-drop at the Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The series will serve as the first regular-season contests of the 2009-10 season for both teams.

In an exhibition game played at the TD Bank Sports Center on Sunday, Oct. 4, the Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team defeated Prince Edward Island, 4-3. Freshmen Mike Dalhuisen and Reese Rolheiser, with two assists apiece and Jeremy Langlois, with one goal and one assist, all collected two points in the win. Langlois' goal, deflected in late in the second period, proved to be the game-winner. Scott Zurevinski also scored for Quinnipiac.
